HTC - Beauty Contest

Beauty contest.

1. The exterior appearance of the models is judged in this component of the competition, as long as their similarity with the prototype (if any).

2. One ore several experts are invited to judge. The people connected with automobiles - the subject of the imitation - and not skilled in LEGO building are the best choice. This will help to concentrate on appearance, rather than complex design or unconventional parts usage that comes second.

3. Each expert judges the models according to the table from annex #5, putting the mark that reflects each point.

4. The final expert’s mark is the sum of the individual marks.

5. The final marks of all the experts are summed up, and the result is normalized to receive the final mark in the range from 0 to 10 points. This is the mark of the participant in the beauty contest.

6. In addition, the average marks for each parameter are reported to the participants, as long as the maximum possible mark and expert's comments on what parts of the model can be improved. This is the important part of the process that encourages the builders to refine their models between the competitions.
